The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate was informed through the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) about the withdrawal of a set of tableware introduced by the German entity Woolworth GmbH due to the detected high migration of lead .

This concerns a soup plate from batch number 2000011859305, a serving plate from batch number 2000011859947, a dessert plate from batch number 2000011857967, bowls from batches 2000011859817 and 2000011859435 and a dinner plate from batch number 2000011858520. GIS reported that their importer, Woolworth GmbH Germany, has taken steps to withdraw the product from the market and inform consumers about the matter. They noted that their distributor in Poland, Woolworth Polska , has withdrawn the disputed product from sale and is awaiting a decision from its German headquarters regarding further handling of the product.
"The products indicated in the announcement should not be used for contact with food ," warns GIS.
